Slovakia

With the early train from Prague, we were on our way to Slovakia. We routed our trains through the capitol city of Bratislava, where we planned a little strolling and some Slovakian lunch. Upon arriving, we checked our bags at the train station and headed for the city center. The “Old Town” certainly has its charms, but the walk to get there shows that the country has a long way to go in recovering from the communist era. A few hours was just enough, so we headed back to the station to board our next train. Vienna would be our next stop and home base for the next three nights.

Notice our special luggage? Ella always seems to find the most unusual places to curl up with a game or book.

This is Slovakia's equivalent of the White House in Washington.
