Ella often mentions that she “misses her car”, and I'll admit we do a lot of walking these days. Finally the day arrived to pick up our rental car so we headed over to the local AVIS office to pick up our car. We found the beginning of the street in which the car rental location is located and headed down the street with our luggage in tow. After a few blocks we came upon the following sign and headed in. Wouldn’t you guess that you had arrived? Luckily we didn’t tell them we had a reservation as we soon realized this was not the right AVIS. Upon further investigation we found Associazione Volontari Italiani del Sangue...the local blood bank. A couple more blocks and it was off to Tuscany.
