It was two years ago, almost to the exact date, that my brother got married here in Tuscany. I like to joke with him and say that it was for this very reason that we are back in Italy today. Bret and I had never been to Italy before (I was in Torino for one day on my whirlwind of a high school French trip – but that doesn’t count). Mike said, “Oh, you’ve got to come to Italy! The food, the wine….my God, the art!” Yes, Bret and I were in the loop, we knew what Italy was all about. We’ve read the books, we’ve seen the pictures. But it’s like having kids, you don’t really know what it’s like until you’ve been there.
So here we are two years later, where it all started. This is the Villa San Lucchesse in Poggibonsi, Tuscany. The owner of the Villa even remembered us (Mike and Erin, that is). Here’s to you, Mike and Erin, Happy Anniversary!
