Where emperors once ruled, the cats now reign. Living amongst ancient temples on Rome’s main drag are some of the luckiest "cats" in town. The kids are always commenting on the dogs and cats we see as we stroll through the streets, so we thought we should check out this cat sanctuary that was listed in our guidebook. The shelter has become a bit of a tourist attraction in its own right, with about 250 permanent residents. I've also included a few of the kid’s other friends from along our journey.
