An Italian Quilt
I know some of you have asked if I have been working while we’re in Italy. The answer is yes. I have finished one series for Art In Motion, my publisher. It is a set of four pieces that are Tuscan cuisine inspired. I am currently working on another set of four wine pieces. That being said, I can’t legally post those images until, well, they’ve been published. But put that aside, and I can show you my project that I have been working on for myself (and my family). It is called, “An Italian Quilt”. This is a collection of duvet covers and bedspreads that have been a part of every apartment or hotel that we have stayed at. I’ve decided to only focus on Italy, because the way I see it, we could easily have a collection of over 30 pieces in just this country! My goal is to assemble them all together with little tags telling of the place and date where we stayed at each location. I have no idea how I'm going to assemble this together when we get home, but I'll worry about that later. Anyway, here's a peek at the start of my Italian Quilt. (These are done in watercolor about 8 x 10").
