The Last Supper

Ok, I admit it, I’m getting hooked on cooking classes. I just attended my last cooking course in Tuscany (for now, anyway – we leave Florence on Friday, July18). This time, it was right around the corner from our apartment building - how convenient!

We made a lovely four-course meal. First, we started with Pomodori al Riso (tomatoes stuffed with rice). Next, was a wonderful Crespelle alla Maremmana (crepes with various cheeses, tomatoes and basil). For the main course, we made Pollo all’Aretina (chicken Arentina), a chicken dish with mushrooms, white wine, and zucchini. And lastly, we prepared a delicious Torta al Cioccolato (you got it, chocolate cake).

Roberto and Fabrizio, the chefs, were absolutely wonderful (and humorous). They really put on a good show for us, even down to the plate presentation. Buon appetito!
